We are Kiwanis.
A global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Founded in 1915 in Detroit and with headquarters now in Indianapolis, Kiwanis International is a thriving organization of service - and community- minded individuals who support children and young adults around the world.
Mission.
The mission of Kiwanis is to serve the children of the world. Our members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged and care for the sick. We develop young leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research and more. No problem is too big or too small. Working together, our members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, dream and succeed, great things happen!
Our Club.
Organized in 1918, the Kiwanis Club of Kansas City is the oldest Kiwanis club in the state of Missouri. Our club meets on the second and fourth Thursday at Noon at Pierpont's Restaurant, located at 30 West Pershing Road inside Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri. We encourage guests and newcomers to attend.
